People’s attention to environment over time in U.S. and China

Purpose of the project

The purpose of the project is to show how people’s attention to environment has changed over time from year 1800 to 2000 in U.S.. The covered key words include climate, air, ecosystem, and species, etc. The project measures people’s attention to the target topic by calculating percentage of the times the target topic occurs in published books and documents in the year.
